Visibility

Common questions

How can Vero support a school response to vaping?

Vero does not detect vape smoke or prove that vaping occurred. It records teacher-created passes, selected destinations and associated times, giving authorised staff a searchable chronology for follow-up. Smart Separation can also warn a teacher when a member of a staff-defined group already has an active pass.

Do I still need vape detectors?

Vero and vape-detection hardware provide different information. Vero records passes and selected destinations; it does not detect aerosols, verify that a student entered a facility or prove who was responsible for an incident. Schools should evaluate each tool against their own supervision, privacy, infrastructure and response requirements.

Can Vero limit how often a student visits the bathroom?

Vero does not automatically limit bathroom access. It can report the frequency and duration of teacher-created passes to a selected bathroom destination. Staff should review any pattern in context and use professional judgement before deciding whether follow-up is appropriate.

What if students are vaping during break times?

Vero records the school workflows configured in the platform; it is not a break-time monitoring system. Break-time supervision and incident response remain with the school’s established procedures.

Is this approach punitive?
