Built by educators, for educators

Vero was founded by people who understand the daily realities of running an Australian school — because we've lived them.

Our mission is to give Australian secondary and P–12 schools live pass visibility and clearer records — without GPS, cameras, locked doors or paper sign-outs.

Locked bathrooms and paper sign-out sheets

Vero was founded in Australia after witnessing firsthand how schools were locking bathrooms and relying on paper sign-out sheets to manage student movement. We saw schools spending more time reacting to problems than preventing them.

Students were being punished collectively for the actions of a few. Teachers were losing instructional time managing clunky paper processes. Administrators had no data to identify patterns or make informed decisions.

We didn't set out to build a technology company. We set out to improve a familiar school problem: creating a clear, low-friction record when students leave class.

Vero was built by people who've stood at the front of classrooms and walked the corridors.

What we stand for

Four principles guide every decision we make — from product design to customer support.

Principle 01

Privacy First

Our primary application database is hosted in Sydney, and we disclose the supporting providers and countries needed to operate the service. We minimise data, protect hosted records in transit and at rest, and never sell school data or use it for advertising or AI/ML. Authorised schools can request export or deletion under our privacy notice.

Principle 02

Built for Schools

Every feature is designed around a real school task and tested for a fast, legible workflow before release. We don't bolt education onto generic software — schools are the only thing we build for.

Principle 03

Simplicity Over Complexity

The everyday pass workflow is designed for two taps and under five seconds. No formal training day is required, while an optional staff walkthrough and product guidance remain available.

Principle 04

Australian Through and Through

We know the difference between NAPLAN week and census day. We build around the Australian term calendar, and our local support team works in Australian school hours.
